Growing up in a multi-talented musical family, Mohamed Noor began his music career playing the percussion at the age of 5, at The Victoria Theater. A multi talented musician, Noor grew up playing the Tabla, Drums. Mandolin, Keyboards, Clarinet, Indian karnatic flute,saxophone and many more..
Today, Mohamed Noor plays more than 25 over percussion instruments from around the World. This has given him the extra edge of being known as a versatile percussionist and drummer around Asia.
He has performed in many music festivals including the ASEAN Jazz Festival (Malaysia), Heineken Jazz Festival (Singapore), Big Bang Percussion Festival (London), Singapore Arts Festival, Penang Jazz, Jarusum International Jazz Festival , Nanning International Folk Song Festival, International Performing Arts festival-Tokyo, Singapore Mosaic Festival, Womad Festival, Singapore Latin festival, Chimez Jazz festival, Sentosa Jazz series and many more around the world.
Mohamed Noor has work with great international musicians like the Gypsy Kings. Randy Crawford, Eric Mariental , Kailesh (India), Anne Veerapas, Rani Singam , Shiela Majid, David Bowie, Robbie Williams, Gorillaz, Ramli Sarip, Jacky Cheung , Jeremy Monteiro, Toots Thielemans, Paulinho Garcia, Greg Fisherman, and also drummers , Alex Acuna, Dennis Chambers, Lewis Pragasam , JR Robinson , Akira Jumbo, Manu Katche of Sting and the list goes on.
