Anand succumbed under the hold of music from the very early days of his life. The thought of being able to arrange music and tell a story has always intrigued and captivated him. This passion led him to obtain a pair of Technics 1210’s and has brought him on a journey through sounds ongoing for almost two decades. Over this course, Anand has created vibrations at most of the key entertainment venues & parties in Singapore.
Internationally, Anand was the based in the Dhaalu Atoll in the Maldives for 3 months. This stay in Niyama, Natures Playground saw him musically spearheading three of their outlets. Sundowners from Dune Beach Bar, Stargazing from Fahrenheit and Sea-life watching from SubSix (the world’s first underwater club located 6 meters under the Indian Ocean). Anand also compiled and curated music for Niyama’s Restaurants, Bars, Lounges, Villas & Boat Rides during his residency.
As host of an online show for MeshRadio, Anand found an avenue to dish out his weekly selection of tunes with co-host, Submerge. MeshRadio featured many of the top selectors both locally based & coming through the region. The best parties in Singapore were also often broadcasted through live streams on MeshRadio.
His current residency is at CÉ LA VI Singapore. Anand has been helming the Re:Groove Sunset Sessions on Sundays for almost five years. He never fails to take his audience on a journey through a wide spectrum of sounds while watching transition of day to night from 57 floors above. During this residency, Anand has
shared the decks with Yass & ATFC (Defected Records), Born To Funk (Soulfuric), Ramon Tapia (Great Stuff Recordings), Jose Padilla (Café del Mar), Stephane Pompougnac (Hotel Costes), DJ Fudge (Z Records), Hallex M (Yoruba Records), Jose Marquez (FANIA), Gabriele Poso (Agogo Records, bbe), Claudio Passavanti (Sunlightsquare Records), DJ Maestro (Blue Note) & Mark de Clive-Lowe (Mashibeats).
Anand is also one of the co-founders of BeatrootSoundSG. Beatroot is committed to merge electronic with organic vibrations and provide a bridge to inspire musical creativity between DJs and Musicians.
